Get Happy with Ginger
I have recently moved my office from 135th Street to the Fashion District, 37th Street and Broadway, and was saddened by the selection of local restaurants. There didn’t seem to be anything decent, quiet and well priced, especially if you want to sit down with a client and have a conversation.
Well, today, I was in the mood for soup. I happened upon Ginger’s because of the big “Noodle” sign in the window. From the outside, I thought it was just a take out because it was barely 12′ wide. However, as soon as I stepped inside, I thought, “What do we have here..???” The restaurant is actually much larger than it appears from the street. It gets wider as you proceed to the rear. Best of all, it is decent, quiet and well priced. It features tall ceilings, intimate settings, calm decor and a large staff so you are not kept waiting long. Most importantly, the food was OK ,too. (Forgive me, I only had the Singapore Noodles, and really can’t speak on the rest of the menu.) For an establishment to survive in that area, you’ve got to be good. The high rents make sure of that!
They have a well-priced lunch menu, and even deliver. Ginger’s Happy Hour is from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. ALL DRINKS are only $4! Let’s really get HAPPY, people!!! So please give them a try and let me know what you think of your dish.
Have a great day and Happy Eating!
