NYC’s Best Pizza?
Hmmmm… I used to drive by this spot, see the really long lines and wonder. I once saw a wedding party on line. The bride was still in her wedding gown. You know that when you see that in NYC, you just have to get on that line to see what is really going on. After all, it is just pizza, right???
So one Wednesday night, when the line wasn’t crazy, my date and I got on that line, and waited with anticipation for what is supposed to be NYC’s BEST pizza. We were seated rather quickly. The seating area is small and tight. Almost too small and too tight. The pizza IS very fresh. The owner has a whole crew making pizza in the back non stop. However, the selection of options is small, and even though I insisted that my made-to-order pizza without Parmesan cheese (Yes, I have a few dietary constraints… sorry…) it was still prepared with Parmesan cheese. I think that it is in the sauce. The bottom line is that the pizza was good, but if I had to go back on that line, I wouldn’t bother to do it again.
Let me know what you think. Just maybe on one of their slow nights, I’ll reconsider it, armed with a Lactaid pill, of course…
